Stoic is one of Bonechewer's oldest guilds; we are on the Alliance side on the US-Reckoning battlegroup. We are a group of friends who enjoy playing video games with each other, defeating challenging encounters, and pvping. We are an inclusive guild, whose members include many genders, nationalities, sexual orientations, races, and ethnicities. We value loyalty, respect, and being awesome.
If you have friends already in the guild, or are interested in making new friends with us, contact any officer about joining as a Friends & Family.
Otherwise, if you are interested in mythic raiding, we ask that you put in an application (below). Please read further for more details!

Stoic has two raid teams:
Wipes at 1%(10/10M) - This raid team is the more progression-focused of the two. Its members' goal is to completely clear each raid tier before the next one is released. We expect a higher level of dedication and attendance from its individual members, but are still accommodating of players needing to take a night off occassionally. We want players to avoid burning out, to enjoy the challenge of mythic progression, and to build lasting friendships within the guild.
We keep our roster lean, so that we don't have to bench many players. While we consider ourselves hardcore, we don't do split runs, nor do we require players to switch to the "best" class at the time. We do however expect players to excel at their class, to understand how to optimize their talents for different encounters, and to learn how play multiple same-role specs of their class.
This team raids Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. 8 pm - 11 pm CST (server time).
We are currently not looking for any classes in particular; exceptional and dedicated players should talk with an officer, if you are interested in joining.
Death Viper Assassins(8/10M) - This raid team is a semi-hardcore group focused on mythic progression, and is a great fit for skilled players who may not have much prior raid experience but are interested in mythic raiding. Players are expected to maintain a solid knowledge of their class, come prepared with appropriate consumables, and be on time. A positive attitude, good listening skills, and drive to improve are all important for this team's success.
This team raids Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. 8 pm - 11 pm CST (server time), and it is currently recruiting:
Tank (especially blood DK or brewmaster monk)
Melee dps (especially enhancement shaman or windwalker monk)
Ranged dps (especially shadow priest or hunter)
Healer (preferably holy paladin or druid)

We look first for players who have strong raid awareness, can consistently execute fight mechanics well, and are tenacious in the face of challenges and wipes. Knowledge and expertise in your class and role is next important.
We believe in accountability and constructive feedback. When mistakes are made, we help the team to understand what went wrong and how to fix it for future attempts. We encourage players to mentor each other and we provide resources for players to improve themselves. You should have a drive for self-improvement, and the time to research fights and your class.
We expect that players are able to make the majority of these raid times. But we are understanding and reasonable about real life demands such as family, school, or work. Communication and honesty about scheduling conflicts allow us to make fair accommodations between individual players and the raid team.
We distribute loot via loot council and decisions are made based on merit, attendance, value of upgrade and length since last upgrade. We have minimal loot drama and like to keep it that way.
Players who apply should have a minimum of 865 ilvl and at least 35 traits in their primary artifact. If you don't meet these requirements but are an exceptional candidate, please justify why you should get an exception for this in your application.
If you think you'd be a good fit with our team, and are interested in liberating the Nightwell from the clutches of Gul'dan and the Legion, please apply today!
